Project overview
MCINC Attorneys is a Sandton-based multidisciplinary law firm focused on delivering client-centred legal services across multiple areas of law, including corporate, commercial, litigation, employment, property, and insurance law. ( mcinc.africa ) Breeze Website Designers (BWD) partnered with MCINC to design and develop a modern legal website that would strengthen the firm’s digital presence, improve credibility, showcase its expertise, and position the practice as a professional, modern, and accessible law firm.
The project focused on balancing professionalism with approachability while ensuring the website reflected the firm’s reputation, expertise, and long-term growth ambitions.
The challenge
Legal websites often face a common challenge: They tend to look overly corporate, text-heavy, outdated, and difficult to navigate.
MCINC required a digital platform that could:
- Position the firm as modern and professional
- Improve trust and credibility
- Better showcase attorneys and expertise
- Simplify access to legal information
- Improve the user journey for prospective clients
- Present multiple legal disciplines clearly
- Create a stronger online brand presence
- Improve mobile responsiveness and accessibility
The website also needed to communicate the firm’s client-centred philosophy while maintaining the level of professionalism expected within the legal industry.
Strategic approach
BWD approached the project by focusing on three key pillars:
1. Trust & Credibility
The website needed to immediately communicate professionalism, experience, and reliability.
2. Human-Centred Legal Experience
The firm wanted to move away from the intimidating feel often associated with law firm websites and create a more approachable experience.
3. Clear Information Architecture
The site structure needed to simplify navigation across multiple practice areas and attorney
profiles.
UX & website strategy
The UX strategy focused on:
- Clean layouts
- Strong visual hierarchy
- Minimal clutter
- Easy-to-scan content
- Conversion-focused calls-to-action
- Mobile-first responsiveness
- Improved readability
- Clear navigation pathways
Special attention was given to:
- Attorney profiling
- Practice area presentation
- Contact journeys
- Lead generation
- User trust signals
The homepage messaging was strategically designed around the concept of guidance and support: “We will guide you every step of the way.” (mcinc.co.za)
This positioning helped make the legal experience feel more accessible and client-focused.
Attorney & Expertise Profiling
A major focus of the project was showcasing the people behind the firm.
The website was structured to prominently feature:
- Directors
- Associates
- Consultants
- Practice departments
- Areas of expertise ( mcinc.africa )
This helped:
- Humanise the brand
- Build credibility
- Showcase expertise
- Improve trust
- Demonstrate the depth of the legal team
The site architecture also made it easier for potential clients to quickly identify the right legal expertise for their needs.
Modern legal brand positioning
The website helped reinforce MCINC’s positioning as:
- A modern law firm
- Client-centred
- Results-driven
- Accessible
- Professional
- Strategically practical
The content and UX direction intentionally balanced:
- Corporate professionalism
- Modern design aesthetics
- Simplicity
- Warmth
- Authority
This approach helped distinguish the firm from more traditional legal websites.
Mobile-first responsive design
Given the increasing percentage of mobile users accessing professional services online, the website was designed with a strong mobile-first approach.
The responsive strategy included:
- Mobile-optimised layouts
- Faster navigation experiences
- Simplified menu structures
- Responsive attorney profiles
- Mobile-friendly contact forms
- Improved readability across devices
The result was a seamless user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile environments.
