The redesigned Waydes would concept seeks to address the requirements of the brief, in a fresh and creative manner. The website is dominated by hue of gray and magenta, to tie back into the T-systems brand. The design also incorporates a degree of social integration to keep the public engaged with Wayde on multiple platforms. Once the viewer lands on the website, they are met by a “fan art style” representation of Wayde, which serves as an introduction to the fictional “Waydes World”. The website’s Layout has been intentionally sectioned into compartments which are anchored by bold typography, thus giving the visitor an easy to understand and easy to navigate experience. Each of the title heading are linked by a subtle magenta line, which guides the viewers eye through the areas of importance which constitute Waydes World.

The Contest open for entries on July 1, 2016, and closes August 1, 2016. Entries must be received by 11:59 pm on August, For your entry to qualify for consideration, you must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum requirement: Follow Wayde van Niekerk on twitter and Instagram.
- Complete the online entry Form and upload a minimum of one Artwork with your entry on www.waydesworld.co.za.
- The competition will be run and promoted by the South African Illustrators Facebook Group with the hashtag #waydesworld2rio.
- Provide a description of your entry (up to 500 words) with a message of support for Wayde Van Niekerk as he embarks on his journey.
Your description could include the mediums used (Not compulsory). - You will judge on these criteria:
- Innovation (50% of score)
- Creativity (50%)
- Upload at least one (But no more than Five) visual illustrations. Five type option: PDF, GIF, PNG, EDRW. The visual illustration(s) should complement your entry description.
- Minimum dimension of artwork should be: 2000px x 2000px
- Minimum resolution of 250 DPI.
Entries submitted without an illustration automatically will be disqualified, no exceptions. We Cannot accept PowerPoint presentations, white papers, or other documents as illustrations as illustrations. All Entries Should be digitized.

In this meme, we will see the image of an old-school computer mouse with a cord. The mouse cord will have a sparkling burning fuse – giving the impression that the mouse is a bomb or firecracker. The message behind this is that the time for computer peripherals with cords has expired and they are now replaced by cordless devices. The text on the meme will read as, “Explosive technology?”. This will emphasise the death-trap in using archaic technology in the mind of the audience.
