The design of the Ulwazi Group logo is motivated by the ideals set out by the Ulwazi brand itself. The Ulzawi brand seeks to communicate an unequivocal message of professionalism, sophistication and excellence across every sector they operate within.
The Underlining concept running through the logo is derived from the literal meaning of the Zulu word “Ulwazi”. In the context of the logo design the concept of Ulwazi or Knowledge is portrayed through the symbolic use of the light bulb. The Light bulb has long been used as an icon for ideas, innovation and knowledge.
The central Icon of the logo the “U” Initial of the Ulwazi brand, the concept of the light bulb has been introduced in an abstract form, within the negative space of the “U”. The colour scheme of the logo is comprised of four gradient sections. The logo icon is coloured in a green hue which is representative of the Ulwazi Groups growth from its current branding , towards a newer Design language.
This full colour option is to be used in it complete and full colour form whenever possible, in both print and above-the-line media, and in all other usages not requiring a simplified format.
The black & white version is available for applications liek single-colour embroidery, engraving, branding of gifts or merchandise such as pens or clocks that do not allow for full colour application.
When gradient and full colour printing are not available, this logo is the second option. For example, in low-resolution print media such as newspapers.
